About the Journal

Energy Sustainability is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Research Institute for Applied and Social Science (RIASS), Indonesia. The journal provides a scholarly platform for researchers, engineers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to publish high-quality research addressing the development, application, and integration of sustainable energy systems.

The journal focuses on interdisciplinary and applied research in renewable and sustainable energy systems, power systems, smart grids, microgrids, energy storage, mechanical and thermal energy systems, energy efficiency, industrial energy management, energy economics, energy policy, and digital technologies for energy applications. It welcomes studies that contribute to cleaner, more reliable, efficient, affordable, and environmentally responsible energy solutions.

Energy Sustainability aims to support the dissemination of scientific knowledge and practical innovations that advance sustainable energy transition, renewable energy integration, energy system optimization, smart energy technologies, and sustainability-oriented energy planning. The journal particularly encourages research that combines strong technical analysis with real-world applications, including experimental studies, modelling and simulation, optimization, case studies, techno-economic analysis, life-cycle assessment, and policy-oriented energy research.

The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, case studies, short communications, technical notes, and applied engineering studies. Through its international and open-access publishing model, Energy Sustainability seeks to strengthen academic collaboration and accelerate the exchange of knowledge in energy systems and sustainability research.
