Withdrawal of Manuscripts

Authors may request withdrawal of a manuscript submitted to Energy Sustainability by sending a formal written request to the editorial office.

Withdrawal Before Peer Review

Authors may withdraw their manuscript before the peer-review process begins by providing a clear reason for withdrawal.

Withdrawal During or After Peer Review

Withdrawal after the manuscript has entered the peer-review process is strongly discouraged, as reviewers and editors may have already spent time evaluating the manuscript. Authors must provide a valid reason for withdrawal.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

Withdrawal after acceptance is not encouraged and may only be considered under exceptional circumstances. The editorial team has the right to evaluate the withdrawal request before approval.

Withdrawal Procedure

To withdraw a manuscript, the corresponding author must submit a request containing:

  1. Manuscript title;
  2. Manuscript ID, if available;
  3. Names of all authors;
  4. Reason for withdrawal;
  5. Confirmation that all authors agree with the withdrawal request.

The withdrawal request must be sent to the official journal email. The manuscript is considered withdrawn only after the editorial office sends written confirmation.
